Default Typhon with Denali v2?

I have a Denali v2 in my stereo powering two DACs, SACD transport, preamp, and Aurender music server. Although it is my understanding that the Typhon was designed to be used with the Triton, my Shunyata dealer suggested a Typhon can be used with the Denali v2 with sonic benefits according to a conversation he had with someone at Shunyata who told him that this pairing would be synergistic.

Since the Denali v2 is a very new product, I would imagine that few, if any, would be familiar with the synergy of a Typhon + Denali v2 other than the people from Shunyata. Therefore, my question goes out to Caelin regarding the benefits of this pairing and if it’s worth the price of admission? Your input is most appreciated. Thanks, Bob

The Typhon works very well with any of our power conditioners from the Triton to the Denali series and even with the Venom PS8.

The Typhon has gained an almost mythical reputation for how it can transform the Sonics of a system. Ask anyone who has had the opportunity to put one (or more) in their system. There are actually some people that have 4 or 5 in their system.

So, yes it works brilliantly with the new Denali 6000/S v2.

Thank you Caelin and it’s great to hear it first hand from you. I have one on order from my dealer and look forward to hearing it soon in my stereo.

On that note, Denali 6000S V2 already sounds super on it’s own in my stereo and separate home theatre systems. It also gives my OLED TV a more saturated picture.

Just wait until you add the Typhon!

Default UPDATE: Typhon added to my Denali 6000S v2

Oh my. Wow!

I would have never expected that adding the Typhon to my Denali 6000S v2 would yield an improvement to the extent which it does in my system.

As good as the Denali is powering my 2 DACs, music server, transport, and preamp—the addition of the Typhon to the mix puts it on a whole new level. With good orchestral recordings, it imparts a 3 dimensional holographic effect to instruments within the soundstage which makes them seem more real and more like heard at a live concert. There also is more “layering” within the soundstage and the soundstage appears to be deeper and wider. I also hear more low level detail as well as increased dynamics with bass lines which are more defined.

The Typhon is definitely a keeper and for anyone who has a Denali, I highly recommend auditioning a Typhon with it.

Are you referring to the Typhon or the Typhon QR?

RLF has the QR. he just bought his at same time I bought mine.
It’s doing for RLF what so many of us others have found. The Typhon QR is a game changing improvement on Tritons and Denali’s.

Default Typhon with Denali v2?

Then adding a ground cable from an unused RCA jack to the SGS/CGS posts on a Triton is another mind blowing event as I found last night adding a Venom SGS ground cable to my preamp. From one of the Tritons SGS ground posts.

As Odd said, it is the QR. Sorry that I wasn’t specific.

Absolutely! BTW, I hope that I don’t appear to be a Shunyata Fanboy, but after having owned and listened to numerous power conditioning or regenerator products in my system over the years, the current Shunyata products have been by far the best to my ears.

Yes indeed Odd, that is next on my list.
