Wonderful performance of a great work.

Kara Karayev: The Seven Beauties; The Path Of Thunder (Ballet Suites)
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Dmitri Yablonsky conducting
Naxos (2013), streaming via Qobuz

Tried this out today after reading a review. It’s well recorded and played, the sound is quite good, and the music is pleasant enough, but frankly gets a bit boring after a while. Probably not a recording I’ll purchase.

Puccini - Tosca
Orchestra and Chorus of the Arena di Verona, Daniel Oren

Our central heating isn't working this evening.
Fortunately our plasma and 5 channel tube amplification warms us a bit.
As does the splendid performance!

Ha Ed, I do love good wine, or a Single Malt.
But we only drink during weekends.
A sound promise we made to ourselves quite a while ago...
