Anybody using PS Audio Power Cords?

My local PS Audio dealer was blowing out AC-10 power cords at 50% off with any trade-in, and in addition get 2.0 meters for the price of 1.0 meter, so I couldn't resist and purchased five more of these super fat boys

As great as they look, and as much as I wanted to keep them; . I tried time, and time again but they yielded no audible improvement that I could discern.

Ivan....you found no audible improvement compared to stock power cords?

Brad, I hope you fare much better than I did. I already had Silver Electra WW PC's in place, putting in the PS Audio cable caused my Bass and Detail to collapse.

PS Audio had sent me a few of each grade in 2.0M; I only experimented with their best cable.

I tried them on my Amps & Sources, but they all went back.

You sure had me worried Ivan, I was going to wait until Wednesday to change out power cords but a wave of nervouse energy (fear) got me motivated to do it right away My dealer accepts returns so it wasn't an emergency, but why wait? Anyway, I changed out Audioquest NRG-5 power cables on the C500C/T, MCD500, MR88, Marantz SA-KI-Pearl and Magnum Dynalab MD-108, the MC501's and power conditioners already had AC-10's. My main rig is way way far down the food chain from yours, and my NRG-5 power cables aren't WW Silver Eclipse, but if these PS Audios don't meet my expectations they're going back Wednesday. I powered up, tuned in the MR88, and right away a smile came to my face The La Scala II's are 105db efficiency, horn-loaded low distortion, very honest sounding. They don't hit real low in the bass frequencies, but the focus and depth of the bass has improved very noticeably from before. No loss in texture or detail that I can notice yet, but my system wasn't the last word in detail to begin with. Will try SACD tomorrow and see what's lost or gained. It definitely sounds more open and unveiled than before, and the cables are fresh out of the box. At least these AC-10's sound better than what I had on the tuner and pre-amp, hopefully the rest of the source components will fair as well.

Ivan, you have my utmost respect. I admire your vast knowledge and experience, and your honesty. The audiophile nevrosa is my own personal problem, not your fault As most of us know, this hobby of ours can be a roller coaster ride, so I'm relieved and pleasantly surprised to find improvement and immediate gratification from my impulse purchase, right out of the box...

Brad.......The construction quality of the PS Audio cables is amazing. These cables are huge and very well made. I hope you can squeeze all those cable in behind your rack.

I'd of tried them for a while. PS is suppose to know something about power, are they not? All of our ears hear things different, right? Could you share the dealer?
