Default Another PPP convert

After reading everything here and reviews online, I broke down and called Ivan to get a PPP. Just trying to do my part for the economy. Sunday evening I finally had time to put the PPP in the rack. Before disconnecting my Panamax, I played a variety of music to have a starting point for my ears - "Ireland" by Tori Amos, "Eminence Front" from The Who, "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing" by Jack Johnson and a little AC/dc for good measure.

Now began the fun, Moving the rack to access the rear panels. I forgot how many wire ties I had used to dress the cables neatly. Got things squared away and powered up the PPP. Ooops, music server wasn't powering up. Note to self, never put the rear panels back on until everything checks ok. The power cord was dislodged from the back of the server while re-routing cables.

Before turning on any gear, I noted the THD on my incoming line was 6.8% and out of the PPP 0.5%. Looks good. I powered up the gear and sat down in the sweet spot for a sound check. Not to sound like one of the kids but OMG. The first difference I noted was the crispness of the cymbals. A light touch on the high hat that went unnoticed before was jumping out at me. The sound of fingers sliding across frets is just incredible. You don't hear that on the Ipod. The bass notes seem to have a more distinct start and end - More punch. The keyboard and percussion on "Eminence Front" had me cranking things up beyond my normal listening levels. At 12:30am I thought the neighbors might just break down and call the cops.

Like a kid on Christmas morning, I kept jumping from album to album thinking, I wonder what this sounds like. I finally turned things off at 1:30 this morning. If you haven't tried the PPP, I say drink the cool-aid, it's good.

Jack

Jack, truly outstanding!

It's one of those things you immediately look back on & say how did I live without it.

No wonder PS Audio can't keep them in stock.

JackK.......Congratulations. The Power Plant Premier is a great product. Reading your post was like reliving my first experience with my first PPP. I now own four. Clean power is where it all starts. I does make a big difference.

I am a huge PPP supporter. It allows your electronics to perform at the level they were designed for. It is like us, eating health food instead of junk food. I tried taking them out of the system once for fun and it was amazing how much I missed their effect. Everything is just so natural with PPP's in the mix.

Congratulations Jack and welcome to the club! The PPP is the cornerstone of my system and I wouldn't listen without it. Put a Soloist SE in front of the PPP and it only gets better

David, are you listening?? He took his PANAMAX out put in the PPP and was pulling album after album out til the early hours of the morning. Your turn, and you might just end up keeping those Cremonas a little bit longer

David, did you see this? An unplugged Panamax!

I just got one of the Soloist Premiers and this PPP has to be next on the list for me. Once I get both of them in place, it should be amazing.

The pill goes down easily when Dr. Ivan writes the prescription. Have a good sleep and order 2 PPP's in the morning.
