I suppose that I should clarify what I mean by coax being the better choice. I2S cables currently in production are not optimized for audio...the focus of design choices is on high definition video transmission. If you get a chance to a/b a superior digital coax, I hope you'll post your impressions. Harmonic Tech and WireWorld are currently producing the best I2S cables for audio, but the market is pretty limited. I suspect some USB cables may one day be better, but I've never compared.
