Enjoy the Alexias,
They were playing in one of only a handful of rooms that were sounding good at the recent montreal show. Looking forward to your thoughts on how they pair with the ARC gear. |

Sorry....I did take some pre/post pics but not great quality. Have been listening since about noon...will try to get something up soon.
Dealer also dropped off a hi rez recording of Take Five...which while I have on vinyl I had not listened to in awhile. Its wonderful...and this is on brand new speakers....I used to go listen to Dave and his sons play live at a local church in CT many years ago....it was awesome |

Congratulations on your install. Its good now, and in about 200 hours you'll be grinning from ear to ear.
I noticed the F212 on the left. Are you using that only for LFE for multi-channel or anything else? I am finding with my F112 and Alexia's I never use it. Pretty much have the Classe running as two channel system with Analog Pass-through for Analog sources. I use the F112 for movies and to cross-over the surrounds with in multi-channel mode. I tried and experiment yesterday and turned on e-bass. I though I was going to break a window. :-) Enjoy your setup.

Thanks, my Alexia's have been playing 24/7 over the last few days and hope to break-in and get casters off over the next few weeks. Will post my thoughts as I go through the process. But those on this forum who went early with the Alexia's have not been exaggerating their performance. With regard to your other question...I actually have a pair of F212s, each placed on the outside of the L/R Alexia. I also use the same CT-SSP as you in that room for my HT processor(I have the SSP-800 in the family room) The F212s are used for HT applications only. I have a Ayre KX-R which accepts the L/R signal from the Classe processor and then feeds either the Ref250s or MX-Rs to power the Alexia's. I also have the Vivaldi DAC and Ref phono2 SE going directly into the KX-R. So for 2 channel digital or analog...only the Ayre preamp is on....for HT applications....my HT sources go through the Classe and then out to my 5.1 setup....which also includes the center3 and surround 2s powered by ARC 450M and 225. I watched two blu-rays this weekend with the Alexia, Hobbit and X-Men 2, wow...Alexia's integrate well with the other WA speakers Last edited by enatai252; 04-08-2013 at 10:05 AM. |
