Scott....thanks! I like the the look of the Gingko Audio's Audio Desk System Vinyl Cleaner Cover Model VC-P, top cover. I think I will buy it.

It will sound better than my box lid i bet
PS my replacement machine was sent from TCC within 2 days of the broken machine being replaced. I believe you can put TCC on the great service list. I am tolerant of problems if they are properly addressed.

The problem is these covers still allow for fluid evaporation, by far my biggest issue.

I've got a piece of plastic bag atop the machine now in an effort to at least slow it down somewhat…

I'm thinking the VC-P without the pads installed.

I looked at these and just don't see what they add, at least for $50. What's their purpose?
