Here is my line-up:

- NHT 2.9
- Audio Physic Libra
- Zu Druid
- Audio Physic Virgo III
- Quad 2805
- Martin Logan Spire
- Wilson Sasha

With the exception of the Zu's, a common theme has been transparency, soundstaging & imaging. The Sashas add dynamics, scale, tone and body and are the most complete speaker I have ever heard.

Default Speakers I've owned prior to Wilson

Magnepan MG-IIB
Acoustat 2+2
Martin Logan Sequel II
Martin Logan Odyssey
Wilson Sophia rears (currently in use)
Wilson WP/7's mains (currently in use)

I plan on staying with them. One of the few cone speakers when set up correctly that gives me similar soundstaging and imaging I've always had with panels.

Oops, sorry about that! Corrected the error.
Watt Puppy 7's for the fronts
Wilson Watch center
and Sophia's in the rear channels.

In chronological order as far as my memory can recall:

1. AR 4ax (AR TT, Tuner & Integrated amp)
2. ESS AMT5 (Luxman R1500 & Thorens TD160)
3. Kef 104aB (Same as above)
4. Cerwin Vega T12 (Same as above)
5. Dahlquist DQ10 + DQ1W Passive (Pioneer PLC1000/Infinity Black Widow & AR SP3a + Harmon Kardon Citation 16)
6. Yamaha NS1000M (Yamaha TT - YP D10, CR3020, CT1000)
7. Celestion SL600 (Same as above)
8. Linn Sara (Linn LP12, LK1 & LK280)
9. Bose 901 S4 (with Bose Spatial Control Receiver, Technics SL10 TT)
10. Yamaha NS2000 (Linn LP12, YAMAHA C2a, T2 & B6)
11. Bose 901 Concerto (Powered)
12. JBL K2 S5500 (Linn LP12, Threshold T2, T400, Pioneer A9D, LD S1)
13. JM Labs Mezzo Utopia (Linn LP12, MCD700/MDA751, MLD7020, C22-II, MC275 SS X2)
14. WP6 (Linn LP12, MCD205, MR85, MVP841, MLD7020, C2200, MC402)
15. WP7 (MCD/MDA1K, MVP841, MC501)
16. McIntosh XRT30 (MCD/MDA1K, MVP841, MC1201 X4 - changed to MC2000 X3)
17. Acapella Violon MkIV (MCD500, MS750, MVP871, MC501 - changed to PS Audio PWT/PWD, PPP, Jeff Rowland M501)

At this point, was gunning for change to WP Sasha, dCS Puccini & U Clock and ... but a turn of events ... idea dropped. Now ... shooting for ...

18. Meridian DSP8000 (808i.2, Magnum Dynalab T90, Oppo BDP 83se NuForce). All gears to be in and set up, hopefully by Sunday this week!

33 years of hifi journey .... and lots of money down the dr .... (ok, spare the word). Sometimes I took a step big forward and then took 2 steps backwards in equipment quality. Some I dont even own for more than 6 months. Looking back, there are some gears I wished I could have hold on till today ... one being the AR setup, wonderfully simple setup yet very musical. No wonder my dad always asked me ... "Are you really listening to music .. or doing a musical chair on hifi equipments?"

Hopefully, this shall be the ending point until ..... like Steve Jobs always say ... " Oh, one last thing ..... )

Better not be cause I would get the famous cartoon statement from my other half starting with ... "INSECT, ... I'll ....". Now, how many of you remember this cartoon strip?

Cheers!

Has anyone here tried the Magicos V2 or V3s or even heard these ?
These i believe is a serious competitor to the beloved Wilsons.
I'd be curious about them but so far the Wilsons are the ones I really want.

Anytime there are discussions about which brands belong in "that"short list of elite speakers both Wilson and Magico are included. Which brand you prefer often comes down to the elusive reasoning behind ones preferences for brunettes, blondes or redheads.
