Let me say emphatically, Wilsons do not measure badly. I look at measurements. I pay attention to measurements. You cannot hear above 15,000 Hz, period. Nothing is audible to the ear above 15,000 Hz. I looked at Wilson measurements before I bought my Wilsons. I agree with Doug, you can hear measurements.

There are current studies that indicate that our ears are not the only way we hear. I will try and locate a recent article that covered why we are sensitive to sounds above 20khz.

I am glad that you agree that human hearing extends to the max 16,000Hz. I think the burden of proof rests on the person(s) that think that above that point it makes any real difference. I personally don't think it does and know it doesn't for my ears. But I do agree that it would be better to have a tweeter with the most extended response possible. (I think that's what DW is trying to achieve with the new tweeter.) But not at the expense of a broad peak in frequency response between 1,000 and 12,000 Hz as you see with Be tweeters as used, for example, in the Magico Q 5. That's precisely why you have to listen to them off axis.

One thing I find amusing is when ever I look at any Vivid speaker, the first thing I think of is Fancy Paint Job and Fancy Cabinet, which they do very well.

If I only wanted a fancy paint job, I would choose the Vivid over the Wilson every time.

Lots of good points in this discussion and clearly, no one is going to change their opinion. I have made my positions clear, and I appreciate other views as well, but at this point, I'm out, as I think everything has been said. Thanks to everyone for their viewpoints.
