Default JL Audio Sub hookup??

I'm thinking of upgrading my subwoofer to a Fathom f112v2. I will be using it in my 2 channel system and Home theater system. I have C47 preamp and MC302 Amp with Focal Sopra No 2 speakers. I also have a Marantz AV8801 processor. I use the C47 preamp in pass thru so I can use the speakers and amp with the Marantz Processor for my front channels.

I would like to do the following hookup. Use the Balanced inputs Left & Right of the JL Audio Sub to the Balanced Output #2 of the C47 preamp. I also want to use the unbalanced RCA (mono) input to the Marantz Processor Sub output My thinking is that when using the McIntosh C47 preamp in pass thru output #2 will be off. Does anybody see any problems with hooking the sub up this way.

The only other way I can think of is using a video switcher. Like A/B. Run the sub to switcher and both preamps. I would rather not have the switch in the system.. what are your thought.
Thanks
Jim

The manual states: " You will only use one of these input connection methods (not both)."

But in essence you are only using one. They of course won't be running at same time. Balanced for 2 channel and mono RCA for home theater. In pass thru mode output 2 (sub) will be switched off. I guess I'll have to give them a call or just use a switcher. Does anyone know where I can get a balanced switcher. I know there are RCA switches. Thanks
Jim

In case anyone is interested I spoke to Randy at JL Audio and he said you and Hookup the Balanced cables to the McIntosh C47 preamp and the RCA cable to the sub on the Marantz processor.

Well I pulled the trigger and ordered a JL Audio Fathom f112v2. Hopefully I should get it sometime next week. I can't wait. I have been using an M&K MX200 sub. I am hoping the JL sub brings the system to another level. Fingers crossed 🤞

Congrats; but isn't what you need: flexing your arms with pushups & doing some chin-ups -- that sucker weighs 117 pounds.()

And just think -- you have an upgrade path too -- The master/slave configuration makes it easy to add more.

OMG your in trouble.

Best Sir,

Bob

I know, I know but there really isn't any room for 2 subs. I just hope not to hard to dial in with my Focal Sopra No2 speakers [emoji344]
