Power Plant tuning
I have adjusted the tiny screw on the bottom of my PPP to stabilize the output voltage at 120v. How important is it to calibrate the display, to reflect the same voltage incoming?
Or is the display calibration just that, limited to the display, and does not have an actual impact on the sound, as the PPP's output voltage is the key. Greg

Greg.......Calibrating your PPP's front panel display does not impact the output voltage, sine wave of the output, or current capabilities of the unit.
You will find the procedure for calibrating the output and input display readings here. http://www.psaudio.com/uploads/files...01-X-DSM-A.pdf Only adjust the input and output voltage readings if needed. DO NOT mess with the input or output THD readings. When adjusting the input voltage you will need to read the actual voltage at the wall receptacle using a volt meter so that you will have the known value to calibrate the input voltage display. When calibrating the output voltage, first use a volt meter to read the PPP output at one receptacle on the rear panel, and make any adjustment to achieve 120 volt using the small potentiometer on the bottom of the PPP. Once your volt meter displays a 120 volt output from the PPP, you can then perform the output voltage calibration.

When you calibrate the display - here are two more things you will need to know.
You have to press the mode button 10 times to move it one volt, in either direction. The display will be off by 2 volts, so to get it to say 120 in the display you have to set it to 122. If you set it to 120, it will read 118 when you power it up after calibrating it.
