PPP's/RGPC600s(s)

Most of you know I am a huge fan of the Power Plant Premiers. They send your electronics an almost perfect electricity which allows them to function at their full potential. Music becomes sweet, lifelike and listenable without any fatigue. So, why change/alter what I already have. On each PPP I have a 1.2KW plus a preamp and MDA/MCD and now, on each one, I have a JL Audio F113.
So my theory was to put RGPC600s (special deal) between each PPP and the electronics. The RGPC's store reserve current for quick transients and immediate power demands. Also, the added protection is very nice. Ivan uses the RGPC1200's before his PPP's with great success but my configuration gives me some extra advantages like cord use in my particular setup.
The results have knocked my socks off. The pure sonic beauty from the PPP's is magnified and enhanced by these beauties. The differences are far from subtle. Putting it simply, it is similar to what I would have expected if I were to biamp my system. Bass if far more detailed, a fuller midrange has stepped forward on the stage, upper frequencies are chrystal clear and oh sooooo smooth. Each instrument floats on a huge soundstage and is reproduced as if you were there staring at that particular musican in the group. I thought my system was almost perfect and now it is Perfect(er). I just finished installing the new F113 which I will report on tomorrow. I spent today just listening to the new RGPC's so I could evaluate each new addition separately.
I don't like something just because I bought it. I highly recommend this configuration.

I'm curious to do an A/B of RGPC1200C->PPP then PPP->RGPC1200C and see which one sounds better; when I get a PPP, of course

I have a PPP, a 600s and a Pole Pig. Have tried various configurations with the 3 of them. Yes, seems having the 600s before the PPP sharpens the transient attacks for a crisper, more dynamic response. Sustained crescendos like "Ta ta Ta TAAAAAA" were less benefited. Very noticeable on any organ music recordings. That's why I use the PurePower unit now. Neither PPP nor RGPC are very effective at longer term transient demands.

I doubt having even 10 would really help. They all work for a split second as the line voltage drops, the magnetic field colapses inducing a momentary boost of current. This works for very sharp transients, not a more sustained demand. Think of it as a momentary shot of nitrous vs a permanent turbo.

I thought the PPP was 1500w continuous and the RGPC1200 had dual 6KW chokes (which would be very difficult to strain)?

1500w is 13 amps at 115v, that's for PPP. The RGPC has a large inductor that simply induces current back into the system as the magnetic field colapses when the voltage sags but this is a very brief moment of time. Think of it as a flywheel except for a split second effect. How much current it pushes back I have no idea but I know it has to be only brief based on how AC sinewave behaves.

The PurePower has a battery and from what I understand has instant transfer, so longer duration peaks are well supplied. The 4200w and 40+ amps of peak current is easy enough to understand and apreciate.

Maybe a momentary shot but definitely a long-lasting pleasure.
