Agree. I have not experienced the “skipping” for a while now either. I haven’t done anything to my network.

I have decent internet, but Tidal isn't very reliable lately.

It seems that the problems skip around to different parts of the country and are based on the regional distribution centers. It was so bad in the SE for most of the Summer and Early Fall that I used a VPN and joined Qobuz. It has been fine for the last month but still not willing to cancel Qobuz, which has been flawless, yet until after the first of the year. The problem was likely overload from the increase in MQA titles and usage plus the Sprint promotion. When there were problems multiple changes in routers and DNS settings made no difference.

New Tidal user here. I got a 3 month free trial via Sonos.
I am on a limited bandwidth connection. ADSL2 @ 8 Mbps. Reliably closer to 6 Mbps.
I am getting skip free and otherwise flawless streaming on hifi sources.
On MQA titles, I am getting dropouts. This is a puzzler since I thought the data rate was the same for either.
I am using the desktop tidal app running win 10 on an MSFT SurfacePro 3. Also using a wired PC in my office.
That seems better than the surface pro 3 but I'll need to verify that over time.
Any thoughts?
Tom
