By far, most driver replacements on Vivids are due to physical damage from accidents.

The dome material is thinner than aluminum foil and if anything even lightly with mass more than that of a fly comes in contact with them, they will dent; even a fly might be enough.

Add that the magnets for the drivers are very, very strong. My dealer inadvertently damaged one at a trade show when he got too close when setting one up and his show badge's lanyard clip was sucked right into the tweeter cone; it literally happens in a millisecond.

The damage isn't usually audible, but most of us who paid the price to purchase these can't stand living with a dented or wrinkled driver cone.

Look at the lower right quadrant of the cone to see an example of this:

A very light, non-metallic in any way feather duster can be used to clean them if you are very careful.

Otherwise, perhaps playing your music louder will work.
