More than 15 hours in this box set.

Bach: Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II (excerpts)
Piotr Anderszewski, piano
Warner Classics (2021)

Anderszewski has rearranged the order of a selection from Book II. He’s certainly technically proficient, but I didn’t really care for this all that much. There’s just a bit too much drama added in places, and I guess the original order is just too ingrained in me.

This is a wonderful blu-ray.
Excellent singing, playing, conducting.
My heart melts when I see and hear the beautiful soprano Chen Reiss sing Pie Jesu...
Matthias Goerne is one of the best baritones of the moment, and Eric Picard plays a beautiful Élégie for cello and orchestra.

From the day the disc slipped from its cellophane wrap, this lovely, evocative, thrilling concert of Fauré's music has never left my "on deck" stack of recordings. Beginning with the graceful Pavane, in the composer's orchestral version with optional chorus, and the heartfelt élégie for cello and orchestra, we hear and see Fauré's major works for chorus and orchestra in performances that equal and/or exceed any I have heard. The sound is balanced and spacious in great concordance with the visual presentation. While these performances are also available on SACD/CD (which I haven't heard), this Blu-ray is one of the few concert discs for which I rarely turn off the video display, even though the music alone more than suffices. What a great concert! I turn to it often, when I want to be transported to another world in which lyrical music and beautiful sounds shut out the cares of the day.

We watch and listen to this at least once a year.
We're in love with it each time...

A very good recording, you even hear the steps of Järvi when he walks off the stage, which gives a very live feeling.

Citadel CD rip based on a 24/44.1 remastering of Walter Piston's Concerto for Orchestra in a 1969 performance by William Strickland and the Polish National Radio Orchestra. Originally recorded by CRI (Composers Recording Inc.)

A lovely new recording of baroque chamber music from the label introduced to us by Bart.

Playing this in the car for the moment.
It sounds good even here!

Splendid album.

Music from Bach, Händel, Rameau, Couperin, Ravel, Adès, Ligeti, Barber and Brahms.

My first listening of the new year - very enjoyable, thanks Bart.
