Do you have a link to this where I can find out the date about who did this and how?

Sorry, no scientific background, from another forum. It was supposed to be a self-directed joke. But I was recently tested in a local hospital (for real) and my results were slightly better. I can still enjoy!

This is on the CDC website, a study from the US Dept of HEW. It’s an old study (early 60s), but I doubt things will have changed for the better since then. If you wade through it you’ll find clear evidence that hearing deteriorates with age, and more so for men than women.

I am not questioning the evidence, especially for the lower half of the chart. It's the top 1/4 that I am curious about.

FWIW, the reference is not directly relevant since it deals only with adults and tests only at 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 6000Hz.

I'm 68 and have hearing loss. That being said, what I can hear, at least this evening, is off the friking charts!!!

At least with the subs, when you can no longer hear them you can still feel them. [emoji86]
