I think our review pretty much tells it all...

I'll get it posted over the weekend, if you don't want to take the time to download the issue again.

But in a sentence, the K-10 has less of a "sound" than anything else I've had in my system....

Well I got to hear the K10. In my system for a few days. Also heard it at my dealer (Ne Plus Ultra - Austin, TX ).

This is one KILLER good preamp. The speed of the notes stopping, starting or varying their dynamics...the decays...the ease and naturalness. The timing and the interaction of the musicians...and how they have their own unique space... I could go on and on...

I am not so crazy about the gold color :-)...or just one balanced input. I could care less about the lack of a remote. My current preamp has a remote and I always nudge the volume up and down...it was funny...I just listened to the K10...it draws you in...you don't care about changing the volume. Or getting up. Or getting another glass of wine. Or submitting to your wife who is saying enough music...

Jfrech, congrats. I am so pleased to see someone else listening to this gear. And you're in the U.S. !! I hadn't realised Rob Koda was making inroads (finally) over there.

On the remote, the Robert Koda gear is certainly staying firm to the unfortunately named 'purist' route with these initial releases but you nailed it above. You're just listening and forgetting the need for such a thing. My knees haven't gone yet so I haven't personally minded the moments when I do make a volume change. Normally comes around the moment of a media change anyway.

Great, great to know someone out there is listening.

Please keep the posts coming should you make that certain decision.

See one of my earlier posts and see the K-10 in gunmetal grey!
I saw the gunmetal grey, I really liked it ! Listening to the K10 right now...mmm ...just pulls you into the music...so relaxed...but with resolution and power...

sickophant, I also hear Robert Koch is planning a phono stage...if this is anything like his Takami K10, It'll be hard to resist. I seem very happy with my amps (the Ayre MXR's) and how the match with the K10.

Are you into vinyl? if so..what are you using for a phono stage?
