Help - Mac Mini cross interference
Hello
I put in a new Mac Mini to act as my NAS. There are two dedicated sets of outlets, PS Audio, installed and grounded correctly and fed by a dedicated 20amp circuit. The left outlet has a Niagara 5000 conditioner plugged in to support the 2 Channel and HT systems. The right outlet has a power strip that supports control 4, Apple TV, Apple Time Capsule Router, 2 computer fans, Pioneer Plasma and the Mac Mini. When I turned on the Mac Mini and Pioneer plasma to set the computer up, the Niagara started internally cycling. Note: Both are on separate outlets, and the main system was OFF. I HDMI plugged the Mac into Video 3 and Video 2 is for the main display for all else. Then I reversed 3 and 2, same problem. When I switched videos not displaying the Mac Mini, the problem went away. I then off the Niagara conditioner and had no problems setting things up. In the end: - Is it an internal grounding problem with the Mac Mini? - Any thoughts on other? |
