Excellent Pete and Dan, thanks for sharing. It’s nice that you guys are reasonably close. Pete, enjoy the new headphone rig, the 800s are great phones.

I enjoyed your visit as I always do. The next visit will be me coming down to your place to see what you've been up to this past year or so. I know you've been upgrading.

Glad to hear the Sennheiser HD800 headphone and the HDVA600 amp are keeping you entertained and impressed. Gear that good is not meant to be a desk ornament, it is meant to be enjoyed.

Thanks for your post. Great photos of your new headphone rig, too.
Dan....inside I'm still 29! You know, the more I look at the photo of (and of course in person) the more I like that forest scene that resides on the TV when not in use. It is beautiful, and compliments the intimate atmosphere of the studio perfectly.

Pete.......Me, too. I wanted a scene that I would not grow tired of, and one that complimented the earth tone colors in the studio. The path that wanders through the trees triggers my imagination. I can see myself walking down that path.

Just a bump to report that I'm continuing to enjoy this headphone rig immensely...and to update on one tweak: the replacement of the very inferior USB cable with
a premium Wireworld Platinum Starlight USB cable from Ivan. This did yield a performance bump in the form of a fuller bottom end and an even airier sound with
more "space". Thanks Ivan!

Here's a look at the wiring in it's pretty much completed state:

I couldn't be more pleased with this superb headphone setup. Not only do I get a lot of great sonic enjoyment, on a daily basis when possible, but it does add a rather
elegant touch to my home office.

It is just flat out cool....
