I have a number of mechanical watches some of them don't get worn much. Never a problem. I have several Rolexs that over 15 years old or so. I service them when they quit keeping time.

I have several winders bot don't use them. I think they have the potential to damage a movement if it revolves the wrong way or to often.

I came to the same conclusion regarding winders and stopped using them after a year or so. My 8 year old SS Daytona is still running great even though I don't keep it "charged". Due for a full service very soon!

That's ok but with several perpetual calendar chronographs and a Grande Complication, auto winders are a must. Of course need to select winders with timing settings for rotation.

Got the call from my dealer with the estimate. It was not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be(I'll keep the cost to myself). It will be 4 to 6 weeks before I get it back

Me too, one of which came with a factory winder. I still don't like winders. I can set a perpetual in a couple of minutes.

The Rolex has returned. I got the call yesterday. I checked the timing after 24 hours and it is +/- 0 seconds What an extreme pleasure it is to have it back on my wrist
