Welcome to AA! And contrats on getting the 802D3. I also auditioned both 803 and 802, and arrived at the same conclusion - the 802 has more presence and soundstage, and B&W seem to pair very well wth Mac amps.

Sorry for the delay-- I haven't been reading the forum. I never auditioned the Wilsons in my home so I really cant compare. Have you ?

Not a problem! I had the opportunity to spend some significant demo time with the Yvette. As a B&W owner for 15 years I understand their sound, which I love by the way. I have learned how to harness the power of the B&W tweeters. The Yvette was too soft on the top end for me. But.....

There was also a mint pair of Sasha 1s at the same dealer that had been traded in. These have the older Wilson sound with the TI tweeter. Some say these can be a little too analytical but coming from B&W I knew how to make these sing. A good deal later and I’m the proud owner of a used pair of Sasha 1s. It’s been a great upgrade for me.

Nice. I too went from 802 (in my case d2) to Sasha's. But it was a Gateway drug to Sasha 2 and Alexias!

Sounds like you've done very well with your choices! Wish I could hear your new set up and appreciate the system you've put together! Congratulations! Enjoy and Pass Down to the Family members that will appreciate them the most.
