Default SF Amati Futura VS. Verity Leonore

Since there is no Verity thread under the manufacturers I decided to post a question here. I wanted to know if you have listened to Verity Leonore and if so what was your impression like comparing to SF Amati Futura. Is there any member who owns the product? Can someone please share your experience?

thank you

Here is the link I found and I always wanted to learn more about this product against SF...

Leonore

The Leonore should be a better match to your 30W Class A Luxman. It has higher sensitivity and impedance. But that's based purely on spec.

sacdfan.......The Leonore looks attractive, and has excellent sensitivity. I'm not sure what I think about rear firing woofers.

Not heard the Leonores but I have heard the Finns, Parsifals, Amadis and Sarastros as well as the SF futuras.
As with many things, it will depend on your tastes, your current and future equipment, your room's dimensions, etc.
I love SF but have never really connected with a pair of futuras despite having heard them several times. I absolutely love the Verity Amadis though, and covet them. If you can stretch, Amadis and Strads are where I'd recommend you listen.

I love Verity Audio speakers. Very musical and sweet and involving at the same time.
Unfortunately, price tag is very high in France.

Have heard the Leonores quite a few times now at a friends house and they always sound great... have also heard the Sarastros and Finns but have been told the Amadis is a real sweet spot. Beautiful and musical they definitely are.

A dealer was anxious to listen to the Verity Finns against my rig when I was first settling in approx 12 months ago. The MC2301s were blowing them effortlessly. I was worried that they were going to fall apart but we didn't max them. The Finns were thin, but hey it's their teeny entry level model & I guess they could work OK in a teeny room with a pair of F113s. You don't get much for $5500 nowadays, not like 10 years ago. Despite the price reduction, he has not yet moved them after this time.

As the price points of the Leonore is $16K and the Futura is double that, it would make more sense to be comparing the Amadis and Futura if that's your budget and you're thinking of buying new. Bill mentioned a few weeks ago that there were a couple of pairs of used Strads on the East coast (Eastern Canada I think?) that people had traded in for Aidas. Might want to check that out if they are still around as they may be priced even better than both the Amadis (rare used) and Futura.
