Default Rack

That’s a contender for sure. Also looking at the CORE.

Best regards

Greg

The CORE are great-looking racks.

I just sent them an email inquiry via their website. Got a call back within a hour from the owner, Arthur. He spent a lot of time with me and gave me some great advice.

Oh my Greg - that thing was dead quiet in my rack. I didn’t mean to start another monetary hemorrhage for you.

In the mean time, it’s going to take some time to break in this c37. Right now, it sounds like broken glass. Better with each spin , but still brittle.

I would also suggest a shielded power cord for the phono preamp. Check its p/c to see if it is marked shielded (this is in addition to it being a 3 wire cord). Shunyata's Venom or Diamondback are fully shielded (braided shield) and reasonably priced.

I'm not fullly aware of your situation but this was an easy fix for a friends hum problem with his phono preamp.

No worries Jim,

The phono pre-amp shouldn't have been close to an amp anyways. I now have the TT and the phono preamp on the top level, K-01X next level down and the integrated below that. ZERO humming.

No worries on the monetary hemorrhage as a new rack was to the ONLY upgrade this year. It's clear however, that my turntable and cartridge could now cold stand an upgrade to pair up with the Esoteric preamp so it will be interesting to see how long I can resist!

Enjoy the break in and progress with your new C37. It must look amazing with your other Accuphase gear!

Good idea. I never checked that but have always assumed they were.
