Roy Buchanan
Loading Zone Amazing Album with Stanley Clark not only playing bass, but producing the LP as well! Steve Cropper, Jan Hammer, Dave Giribaldi, Donald "Duck" Dunn and more. Stanley pushed Roy into new territory and it is a wonderful ride well recorded! some of the cuts remind me of Jan Ackerman, while others are classic Buck and the Snakestretchers! One of my Favorite Guitar LPs. Roy said some of his worst days were with Atlantic, but this offering with Stanley Clark is special. Atlantic SD 18219 (1977) Regards, Jim

I'll Play the Blues For You
Albert King A Killer Album well recorded if not Politically Correct. :^) But that's the Blues! Rhythm section: The Bar-Kays, and The Movement - Horns: Memphis Horns This a highly recommended LP! Regards, Jim P.s. I love the sound of a Gibson Flying V!

Etta James & Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson - "Blues in the Night" Volumes 1 & 2 (The Early Show & The Late Show)
A blues classic and favorite of mine, recorded live at Marla's Memory Lane Supper Club in Los Angeles, this 1986 date finds Etta James in front of a superb combo fronted by Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson, with Red Holloway, Jack McDuff, and Shuggie Otis providing the supple and swinging backdrop. |

^^^^^^Tony, with my family, I saw James Cotton live in July '15 in New York, for his 80th birthday!
He had a great band, but he himself looked really tired.
