If the Benelli M4 is good enough for the Marine Corps, it is good enough for me.

The only problem with that is if the TV or music is on, they may not hear the rifle being racked inducing them to leave.

If you're going to use a gun for home defense, it should be loaded, close by and ready for use at all times--not locked in some box in the basement or attic.

A gun that isn't loaded doesn't work.

gary to a point....yes, but when there are children occupying the house as well prudent safe guards are a must....quick access safes, etc.

Nice! All I have on my night stand is a 38 special. I want to change that out for a Kimber 45 and 12 gauge shotgun. My 30-30 is the only other gun I leave loaded at all times but its in the gun cabinet.
