Blue Tube Audio?
Just found this website. Looks like a neat little tube integrated. Anyone have or using?

Handsome little set with the solid cherry/ walnut cabinets with optional matching single driver speaker and sub. Push-pull 8 watts per ch. Equipped with bluetooth. May be nice for an office or bedroom. I'd love to hear it.

Looks interesting, but their website contains some BS.
"You will never see a transistor amp without a tone and bass control, but it is rare to see a tube amplifier equipped with a bass or treble adjustment." Well, I don't see ANY amps with tone controls. However, I do see both SS and tube pre and integrated amps with and without tone controls. "In typical transistor amplifiers, there is a tendency to play music at a much higher volume level than necessary to compensate for the inherently “thin” transistor sound." Yea, SS amps are known for their lack of bass.... "In the audiophile world it is known that high-efficiency, single driver, full-range speakers--with no crossover--give the best sound." That explains all the high-end single driver speakers I see at my local dealer. Two-way or three-way speakers? Pure garbage! Crossovers? A joke. Audiophiles want a single, full-range driver. |
