Talking VAC Sig. IIa + Dartzeel 108 + TAD CR-1's ....

is the combo to beat. I could not wait any longer and hooked up the VAC to my Dartzeel. Wow! The hint of tube sweetness and fullness from the VAC preamp added to the oh so natural sounding Dartzeel is a phenomenal combo in my book. The 911's are more flashy, have more but not necessarily better bass and draw a little more attention to themselves. The Dart/VAC combo tames the TADs and makes the most of what they give, very musical indeed.

Probably

I'm still thinking what to do with the 911's

Mike,

Thank you! I know the 911's are finicky but the VAC makes them sound so wonderful on the TADs. The Dartzeel has ALWAYS been at the top of my list. Just short of trying the Dart pre, the VAC pre has been the second best purchase behind the Dart amp so I am ecstatic. It goes perfectly with every amp I have and will have

As I've mentioned previously, am happy you have found resolve in your quest Joe. The VAC products are well received and recognized by everyone & infact, I have never heard a negative opinion of them whatsoever. Therefore, I can understand why, behind the Dart, it is the best audio purchase you've made. That's cool (beans).

Best

Bob

P.S. See, no green text.
