Au Chien Qui Fume (Smoking Dog) is a nice restaurant very near Métro : Châtelet - Les Halles. Only a couple of blocks from The Louvre

I might be too late, but this little guide is the way to go in my opinion. It never lets me down anywhere in the world I go... stylish places to stay, eat, drink, shop and see.

Chez Papa Jazz Club and Restaurant, left bank, closed Sun and Mon

Chez Papa Jazz Club

Good food (bit spendy) and great music. I was there a few years ago, but Yelp reviews are current and favourable.

Most of my time in Paris has been leading student tours, so we did not go to fine or expensive restaurants, but one I have always enjoyed and made a point of going to every time I am in Paris is Chez Chartier, on Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, near the Grands Boulevards Metro station. Inexpensive, good, and with friendly staff.

PARIS 6th : Pouic-Pouic - written up in New York Times and ranked #20 in Trip Advisor. I just got back from Paris yesterday and ate there twice in the last week, it is superb and not very expensive. My TripAdvisor write up, photo of the staff and chef, and info follow:

Pouic-Pouic
9 Rue Lobineau | Saint-Germain-des-Pres, Paris, France “Great find near St. Sulpice!”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 NEW
"I've been to Paris five times over the years and have been fortunate enough to have eaten at some of the temples of haute cuisine - and usually paid the price with a food and wine hangover and an astronomic bill. What an absolute delight then to find Pouic-Pouic on this trip with the talented and creative chef, the incredibly friendly staff, the relaxed atmosphere, the reasonable prices and, most importantly, the exquisite food made from the freshest ingredients to my order. I had such a wonderful experience I went back 2 nights later - highly recommended!"
