London
Just arrived last night from an 11 day trip to the UK. It was business in the front end and some holidays in the back end. Spent 4 days in Leeds and the rest in London.
Weather was a bit cool for this time of the year but not very rainy . London was very crowded but that did not keep us (Carmen and I) from our very leisure agenda during our holiday portion of the trip. As you can imagine, we did hit most of the key historical places - Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Downing St, Eye... Also visited some stores. Yes, you can imagine all of the boutiques she stopped in and shopped - . But, it was a good time. I also managed to stop by a new audio shop in London. Audio Lounge - recently featured in Hi Fi Plus. Small shop in the west side of London. Small store but very tastefully done. The staff was very friendly. Nice brands - ARC, Dan D'Agostino, Vivid, Wilson Benesch and a few others. They had Dan's stereo amp and the new pre - both in black. Gorgeous looking stuff. We had a terrific time. Glad to be back home for the 4th of July.

Mike
Welcome back. Sounds like you made the most of your time in England. Lucky you with the audio shop. When I am traveling with Linda getting away to listen to audio is a rare event. |

Thanks guys it was a great trip.
Jim - Carmen does not mind at all. I suppose that she is very understanding as I accompany her to most of the French boutiques - if you know what I mean! Also, I thought of you while visiting the audio store. It was the fist time I have seen the production version of Dan's pre. It is larger than I remember seeing a prototype at 2011 RMAF. Also, much better looking!

Mike...welcome back home and glad you had such a good time on your trip. London is one of my favorite cities. The touristy stuff is good but I just enjoy all the different neighborhoods. Great night spots and good food (you couldn't say that 20 years ago ). And as you say of course, great shopping!

RT and Cyril - Indeed, we really enjoyed London. Both of us have been going there on business for over 20 years but never together on holiday.
