Default Tonearm Cable

My Micro Seiki DD-40 turntable with the Micro Seiki M505 manual arm has been an excellent performer for me for a long time, and still is. Lately, I have been considering installing a new tonearm cable. Micro Seiki set the arm up with DIN to RCA plugs internally, so the tonearm cable will be RCA to RCA. The original tonearm cable that came with the turntable is long gone, and I have been using a pair of Tributaries Silver Series cables with a seperate ground wire for a number of years, although I feel confident the turntable performance can be improved with a tonearm specific cable. Just like interconnects and speaker cables, there are so many choices.

Are you using the cables provided by the turntable manufacturer, or tonearm cables from another cable manufacturer? What are you using?

For tonearm wiring: it's all Pro-Ject. The description is that it's the "highest quality" - whatever that means.
For interconnects from my LP12: It's all line Linn. DIN connection to my Lingo power supply and gold RCA's that connect to my EAR 324 phono stage.

Highest quality. Every manufacturer says that. That is in the same catagory of words that have become totally meaningless, like professional, improved, state of the art, and premium. Those, and many other words have been so thoroughly misused and abused they no longer represent their original definitions.

The RCA's connected to the EAR 324, and from the Ear 324 to the MA6500. Who manufactures those cables?

Mine are built in and I have no complaints, actually eliminates the urge to tweak the cables. Why not wireworld since you are going RCA to RCA? I would imagine that a proper tonearm cable should be well shielded and have relatively low capacitance. I don't know wireworld specs but I know of inexpensive cables that offer relative low capacitance and good shielding.

I know what you mean regarding "highest quality". Linn manufactures their own RCA's and they're standard for every LP12. They also have their own line of XLR's which can be added to the LP12 at anytime in the event that balanced connections are need vs RCA's(unbalanced).

Serge.......I would consider Wireworld cables if the capacitance was in the range of 20 pfd per foot. I know they are well shielded. I haven't seen any specifications stating the capacitance measurement for Wireworld interconnects.
