Given the REF10 was introduced in 2012, it has enjoyed the top spot for longer than the normal 5 year life cycle (historically) for most ARC products. I would completely expect something new to be announced at any point going forward, but most likely at a major show.

There will be a Music Matters event up in Seattle early next month... often Dave Gordon from ARC is present. As the owner of a REF10 and a pair of REF160M, I'll be sure to ask him what might be in the works—though he's a company man and won't spill the beans without the OK from above.

Given that some of the REF160M improvements are reportedly from the new 4 layer circuit board, and REF6 improvements from an additional 6H30 tube per channel, I would not be surprised to see these find their way into a new (king of the) reference models.

I'm not in a hurry to change my ref 10 component anytime soon, I roll the 6550 on the power supply and is like heaven on earth. And for to good the Ref 6 sounds is really wishful thinking to believe is better. The ref 6 learned a lot from the 10 and is a very good pre Enjoy !!!
