Is the Contour line really needed? Between the Confidence and Focus, the bases are pretty well covered. How can they improve upon the Contour without encroaching on the Confidence?

Isn't this how a company normally does things. Make the bottom line the middle grade, the middle the top, then the top they recreate to be the new ultimate.

So, it's a new Excite line. I was hoping for the new Contours. I wonder what the audible differences will be. I like that they finally went for magnetic fronts, but worry a bit about their sensitivity. 82dB for the X14.

My guess is the Contours are history. The Focus lines segues logically into the Confidence line, while Contour overlaps both. The only reason I can see to updating the Contour line is for the stylistic contrast to Focus.

Why did Dynaudio make Excite line look like the Focus line? Hmmm.............Maybe the Contours are here to stay and the Focus is getting the axe?
