Time to Recheck Tone Arm/ TT Set Up
I have had my turntable since 2011 with the current tone am and cartridge. I noticed today something was off in the sound, even though the turntable is wall mounted and nobody touches it but me. I checked the tracking weight with my digital scale and noticed the tracking weight had crept up to 2.5 grams and putting a level on my turntable showed that was off too I am not sure how things changed but I will make a point of checking these things more often. I had not checked them in years.

Always a good idea to check things with the vinyl rig every now and then. I try and check the tracking weight every six months or so as well as the speed. It's amazing how things can change when seemingly nothing has affected your rig....of course there was one time when our housekeeper knocked my stainless steel delrin clamp off the table and cracked it. I went as far as to have my dealer come out and check everything that time. Not allowed in the room any longer, that's for sure!

David, it's all those subtle things that matter ! the same thing can be said for maintaining the cleanliness of ones speaker / IC connections. I make a habit of cleaning mine twice a year when I change batteries in my smoke detectors.........
