Thanks Bradley. Yes that is my idea.
I have listened and owned in the past rather mid-fi speakers with top notch electronics and the result was stunning.
Many speakers can do wonderful things with great electronics. My guess is that it will be the case with the Heresy.
I'm sure that they would be great too with many other tube amps, from Mc, CJ, Prima Luna, Leben, ARC and so on but I felt in live with Shindo and the Apetite is a rare piece. The only integrated amp from Shindo to date, and will probably remain the only one. It is already a collector item.

I cannot believe that I will have 3 systems in my home.
And in the main system I have two complete different systems on the same speakers !
This hobby really drives us nuts !

But with music in all the living rooms of the home, I'm really done now !

Shindo Apetite is home, thanks to Des. And it is like new. Incredible.
It looks like a jewel and my wife found it so cute but had a bad face and said " so you'll never be satisfied. Do you really think that this will make you more happy ?"
I explained her why I bought it. I showed her pics of the Heresy speakers. Explained that the living room was "crying" for a system too and that this system will be the simplest of the home :
A SB touch ( probably with upgraded PS), the Apetite and the speakers. Period. Probably no outboard dac.
Why ?
Because I plugged the Apetite on the EB1i for 10 minutes yesterday. Used only the SB analog outputs with the crappy power supply. Connected to the Apetite with a Linn basic IC. And boy oh boy, Nora Jones never sounded so beautiful on the EB1i !
Pure pure magic of 15 W of power feeding speakers that are designed for much more.
Details, transparency, resolution, naturalness of timbres : it has everything. But most of all, like all Shindo, it has immediacy, obviousness, and it connects you instantly with the music and the performance.
Pure Shindo Bliss.
LIFE IS GOOD !
And yes, 3 times yes ! Shindo makes me more happy !

Hi J, Well it's a bit of a long story--but I was excited to upgrade in the line--but I got shut out of my original Ap sale( And obvious benefit to you-ha!) that would have enabled me to do this--

In the meantime my intended up grade purchase had been sold and I had to look elsewhere for alternative sources.

I have however found an exciting alternative that I am extremely elated with and has opened up my musical involvement to another degree.

Good listening,

DesW
