Buck's New Bedroom System!
I've always wanted a small but nice system for the bedroom....sometimes I'd love to fall asleep listening to some classical, but never really had the opportunity to put anything together. My wife and I just redid our bedroom, somewhat of a Restoration Hardware theme so I thought it would be a good opportunity to do a small stand mount system that would look cool but at the same time not be too obtrusive.
I ended up finding an amazing consignment deal on a pair of Sonus Faber Liutos and placed them on a pair of Target Audio speaker stands. The other thing I wanted was a small, low powered tube integrated amplifier so I wouldn't take up the entire bedroom with electronics.....plus it make you know who happy to have it very tidy and neat. I've read amazing things about boutique manufacturer Line Magnetic....if you do some searches you'll read all kinds of great things about their tube based gear, so I thought I'd give 'em a try. I went with the KT88 based Line Magnetic 216A, an integrated that has a SET mode and ultralinear mode. 22 WPC triode and 38 WPC in ultralinear. What to do for a source? I wanted to avoid a CD player and turntable in the bedroom for space and logistical reasons, so I thought it would be a perfect situation to do a NAS music server.....I already had a WD MyCloud setup for archiving my media in WAV, so based on feedback, I went with the Auralic Wireless Mini, a small network based streamer which I also installed a 1 TB SSD drive so I don't have to deal with the network I don't want to. I placed the Auralic in the top right drawer of the dresser. Cabling is Transparent Music Link. So far it sounds quite nice and makes a nice neat addition to the bedroom! - Buck

Buck.......Very well thought out system for your specific application. You did a nice job of integrating the gear and speakers for low impact. Great job.
