It's been awhile since I posted to this thread. Some updates:
The second system that I inherited from my friend is up and running. It consist of Verity Audio Parsifal Ovation speakers, Master Sound 845 amp, First Sound Special Edition Mk 2 preamp and a Wadia 861 SE. It's a very nice sounding system and I am listening to it more than my main system. I also added another Berkeley USB converter in the second system.

I have put the Basis turntable, Clear Audio cartridge and the Heron VPTH 2 tube phono preamp in my main system. I have NOT had a chance to spin any vinyls yet, but maybe this long weekend.

I also just got my Stax Omeaga Mk2 with SRM -007tII today. It's a pretty headphone, but it will eventually be replaced with the 009 later.

Douger,

Thank you for the kind words. I need to fulfill Frank's request to start playing vinyl.

Nice system you've got there! And nice to see there are AQ fans out there - those cables you have - our cables - are some amazing gear! May you enjoy your system in good health!

Good to see another fellow AQ cable user. Not too many AQ users on this forum.
Just bought two more pairs of WBY for the second system.
I have always been partial to AQ for interconnect and speaker cables. shunyata for ac cords and conditioner. I may try an AQ conditioner soon.

Just received my new toy the other day - a Stax SR009 headphones. Fantastic cans. Unfortunately, I am going to have to get a better energizer later. I am using a stax 007tii now. I have been told that blue Hawaii SE is the one - $$$$.

New_guy: Sorry to hear of the loss of your fellow audiophile and friend. I do know how that feels; lost a close friend and soul-brother in food, audio, etc...a few years back. All the best towards enjoying that system and celebrating your friend's life and your friendship with him.

Happy new year to all! 2016 was a tough year. My mother passed away a couple of months ago after a long battle with cancer. Hopefully, 2017 will better. My dad is of course still adjusting to the loss. He has always wanted to go to a safari so I am taking him to the Serengeti park in a few months. He is an avid photographer so he'll enjoy the trip.

Christmas came a few days late for me this year, but I just got an ARC Reference 6 preamp. Also a Shunyata typhon and some Alpha HC cords as well.
