Hi James,

I just received the Bryston BDA3 DAC. It is doing well for USB from my few hours of listing, I think my waiting for almost a year has paid-off.

I can listen to SACD from my blu ray transport and BDA3.

The sound is superb!

Hey James, has anyone reported playing SACD on an Oppo 103/105 via hdmi on the BDA-3 yet?

We gave the OPPO at Bryston and it works well on SACD.

Can it pass multichannel through? I would love to connect it to my Oppo, but I still need multichannel to pass through for movies.

Hi Chad

No sorry it is a stereo DAC and would down sample the multichannel bitstream to Stereo.

So, same end result as how the SP3 down samples 5.1 surround into 2-ch for the headphones or AUX outputs?
