The XLF's will work nicely in a 650 sq ft room.

Quote: I want to be able to "turn it up" and still have the speaker say, "So what, I'm still loafing," if you know what I mean.
To my experience this is less a speaker thing, but all about Great amplifiers.. Quote: I found the Magico Q5 sterile and amusical, at least the one time I heard it at my local dealer. Bad demo happens most of the time, less to do with the gear, but all to do with knowledge and experience composing gear. Dealers have to Work for it these days, the comfortable nineties are passed time. |

I really like my Maxxes. Now that I have gotten over the XLF I am rediscovering what a good (not perfect) speaker it is.

Charles, you can relax now.
No speaker is perfect. No room is perfect, no amplifier is perfect, no source is perfect and certainly, no recording is perfect. |

Really well said, we all need to remember that and stop sweating over perfection. That said, my system is perfect |
