Default Which one should I keep

I have 2 cartridges an AT Signet TK7E and Shure 97XE with a SAS stylus. I am using one turntable I am thinking of getting rid of one which one would you keep? why?

To me they both sound very good maybe the AT TK7e is a bit smoother.

Thanks

Are you getting rid of one to purchase something else?

If you are now down to one table, then I would keep it as a backup in that dreaded event of a broken stylus.

I really could not make a recommendation on which cartridge to keep since I have not had the opportunity to hear either cartridge. Most importantly I don't have your system setup. I would set up each cartridge, on the table and arm I will being using, and let my own ears make the decision.

Sillver79.......I would sell the Shure 97XE. It is not nearly as smooth sounding phono cartridge as the Audio-Technica Signet TH7E cartridge. In the past I have owned many Shure cartridges including the V15 VxMR. I also owned the Signet TK9Ea with the boron cantilever. The Audio-Technica Signet TK9Ea was far superior to the V15VxMR in its overall smoothness and presentation. The Signet TK7E and the TK9Ea were hand built moving magnet cartridges, each one individually tested in the Audio-Technica factory before being packaged. The attention to detail with the top shelf Audio-Technica Signet line of cartridges was a step above the best Shure ever offered. The Shure 97XE isn't even in the same league in my opinion.

Thanks guys, Dan I agree with you the signet is really smooth, it will be the one I'll keep. Before I get rid of the Shure I'll hunt down a spare stylus for the TK7E - any one know where I can find one?
