Joost, 90 should in no way be the correct setting. What does the sweep of the CR-1 alone look like? What does the sweep pf the G1 alone look like?

setup - note this is temporary, i will add a second G1 next week.

blue - speakers alone
pink - sub alone, crossover 30hz
green - sub alone, crossover 90hz

blue - speakers alone
green - speakers+sub, crossover 30hz
purple - speakers+sub, crossover 90hz

zoomed view

to me it seems to 90hz setting (purple) helps to smooth out nulls at 53hz and 150Hz... appreciate your thoughts!

Sub appears to be in a really bad place for exciting room resonances. Should be much flatter in room than you are getting without the huge nulls

It seems to me the speakers are exciting a lot of modes also and that they are they main cause of the uneven response. Would you agree? Perhaps I should start here and see if I can optimize. Thing is that I have them setup in perfect triangle currently and the imaging and soundstage is fantastic.

The mains need to be set up to best effect before trying to do the sub. If they are not aligned to each other in the bass and pressurizing the room evenly, it becomes that much more difficult to try and properly integrate a sub.

Which input are you using on the REL?

Input is high level (from the power amp outputs).

I'm looking at integrating a sub with my 2 channel setup. Room size is 11x17x8. Speakers are Focus Audio FP80se's - very fast with great midbass, but I'm clearly lacking some weight on the bottom end.

There are so many REL subs out there, it's hard to decide which would be the best choice. Currently I'm considering the B2, Strata III or G2. Any thoughts as to which would work best for my room size?
