Default Small compact Subwoofer for stereo

Hi All.
Great to finally be able to post here. Been doing a whole lot of reading which has been educational.

I am currently running a pair of SF Cremona Auditors with 2 x Nuprime STA-9's. (Class A/D power amps).
The SF's sound fantastic in this combo but would like to add a small sub into the mix just to improve the lower end.

Went to listen to a system that was using the Vivid Audio 1.5 with a pair of B&W PV1's and was surprised at the sound those little PV1's managed. They were fast and punchy and really integrated well.

What's everyone's thoughts on the PV1's and would there be any other recommendations for a sub around the same size?

Thanks all in advance.

In this range ($2-3k) you might also consider the REL S3 or S5. REL mate very well with SF speakers.

I for one IMHO would say to you check out the JL Audio E110 or 112s. Most of the advancement of the Fathom series and a true active crossover. Doesn't get better than this at their respective price points. Again my 2 cents worth. Good luck in your search.

I have a JL Audio E112
in my office system and am most pleased with it.

Running JL e112 as well. Very please with it as well. Excellent quality and sound at it's price level !
Never heard PV1 but it seems to have very good review. Just don't understand the esthetic though.

Thanks for the REL and JL Audio options.
I will see whats available locally and go have a listen to them. Its difficult to find small compact subwoofers that are good for music and integrate easily.

Ivan is a JL dealer, you might check with him.

For what it's worth, I just added an REL T5i sub to compliment my Sonus Faber Venere's. My listening room is a converted bedroom so it's very small. While I haven't completely fine tuned it yet, it does seem perfect for my situation.

I'd look at the JL Audio Dominion 10 or E series before I'd go with the BWs. IMHO they don't come close to the performance of JLs. Read the reviews here and the pros. It may save you buyers remorse. Again. Just my 2 cents
