The LS15 and the cabinet arrived yesterday. I resisted the temptation to hook it up last night, and opted to let it warm to room tempurature till tonight after work. I'm very excited to hear it in the main rig. I'll give an update later this evening.
Regards,
Jim

The ARC LS15 is installed and singing gloriously. I'm very pleased with the synergy this preamp has displayed! It is playing nicely with my other components and it's strengths over the Aragon Aurum are as follows:;
Imaging is deeper and more holographic
Inner detail is better both macro and micro
Smooth, smooth, and smoother
Lots of new things showing up :^)
The negatives?
Not as finely detailed
Not as lightning fast
Bass is not as tight and controlled
Bottom line:
Musicality wise this is a real winner, the improvement in overall control, and presentation dismisses it's negatives. IMHO
The Maggies now have that eerie quality they are capable of, and the magic is back! The Aragon is a great preamp that really had and iron vise grip on the Maggies, but to win the race, you have to loosen the reigns, and let the steed find its pace!
I'm a very happy camper, and have not gone balanced yet!
Regards,
Jim

Glad you're enjoying the LS15. I've had one for 15 years and it has never let me down.

Thanks, It has been a great addition to the main rig, and I am now running it balanced to my crossovers and balanced in direct from my Sony SCD-XA5400ES SACD player with outstanding results. I'm very pleased with this unit, which plays nicely with my 3 Acurus power amps.
Regards,
Jim

Jim...I am happy to her of your addition to the Main Rig. Can't wait to hear how well it suits the setup. There always seems to be one area where we consider the move up for even more. Sounds like you made the right move. Congrats.
Have a great 2012!
Jim

It really has helped the Rig! Give me a call and stop up anytime. I hope your time off has been great. All the best to you in 2012 as well!
Happy holidays,
Jim
