The fact that that you are so ambitiously opposing against Magico and that the guy behind your own speakers is a friend of yours (spamming both trough guys like you and annoyingly on the largest dutch market site) doesn't make you a serious source of information. |

My speakers are extreme good for their prices. They are sold directly from the factory. Normally the prices go x2 because of the profit for the shop. If there is an importer, he of course also have to make money. My speakers cost 2500 euro. Take a factor 4 and they should cost 10.000 in a shop. Than they are sounding much more natural than most other brands. My opinion is that a lot of people pay far to much for their equipment. Do you want to know how your speakers sound in relation to live music, probably not. The high notes are a bit to soft, so it will sound relaxed for ammatures. The mid is colouring and to warm, that´s what most people want to hear. They look great and also are not worth their money. Great marketing is the only posiitv thing to mention. My advice is, go to live acoustic concerts as much as you can. Try to remember how that sounds (not everybody is able to do that) and compare what you have heard to some records at home. Learning to play an musical instrument can also develop one´s ear. There are also listening lessons at music schools. Resume: developpe your self instead of arguing with professional musicians Finally if musicians are only talking bullshit, what is the problem exactly?

What people pay for their equipment is their own business. You cannot assume that all speakers sound overly smooth, warm and rolled off, apart from your own, and that most audiophiles do not listen to live music. |

I know your speakers. I also know live music. You think you are the only musician around?
I wouldn't say your speakers sound bad, but there are so many others that are way better. They don't have to be more expensive too. Trust me, it is only your opinion, nothing more. Most people, musicians included, will not share your opinion. Please get of your high horse and get realistic about yourself and your own ears. And while you are at it, please stop nagging everyone about Magico. I don't own them, I don't have the ambition to do so, but me and a lot of other serious listeners and musicians think they are fantastic. Last edited by tompj; 05-05-2015 at 01:44 AM. |

We never listen to reproduced music, we listen to reproduced recordings of music.
The one absolute a highend audio gear can accomplish is showing biggest differences between those recordings. The quest for 'live music in our livingrooms' is an entertaining thought, and if not taken too seriously can be great fun. Beeing the first violin player at the Concertgebouw Orchestra does not automatically imply being expert in succesfull assembly of highendaudio gear. Enjoy the records meanwhile |
