Another fun meet.

It was:
Joey (me)
George
Ed
Steve Cirica
Larry
Kevin

We listened to the Focal Kanta 2 (thanks to Clay at DFW Audioguy!) and initially we listened to Bluesound Node 2 streaming Tidal into a Mark Levinson Integrated (please refresh my memory on the model #).

Then we switched to Steve Cirica's Esoteric K03X.

Then we started to play with my Emm Labs DAC2x Dac using the Esoteric K03X as transport.

Switched back and forth several times.

Rest of the system was mid-hi range AQ cabling - SC were audioquest oak. Analog IC were audioquest wind.

I actually enjoyed the sound quite a bit.

The Kanta 2 gets my approval at $10K.

And we ate at Benihana... as per usual a good end to the evening with friends.

But they forgot our ice cream.

Last night was a lot of fun as usual.

Had never heard Focal before last night. Came away very impressed with the Kanta.
At its price point, very competitive with its peers. Its bass was impressive.

Did not realize we were suppose to get ice cream.

Maybe next time.
