As the OP, methinks that some of the responses, while the pistols were excellent in themselves such as the Shield and Springfield, they were not truly pocket pistols -- i.e., fit in a pants pocket without sagging and looking like the person is smuggling a brick. Even my Sig P290 cannot truly be called a pocket pistol since it is too heavy and too large to comfortably fit in a pocket without sagging or printing.

So far the only true pocket pistols (mouseguns) that I have seen or used were the NAA Guardians, Seecamps and the little Ruger or KelTek and all were .380 or .32 caliber.

Ruger makes an LC9 which is a pocket gun. A co worker has one and it is just a tad bigger than my Ruger LCP .380.

Default Sig P938

The Sig P938 is a highly compact 9mm which will fit in a pocket. Another possibility is the Rohrbach, but it is really, really expensive and hard to find. Also, I have heard that it has some reliability issues but I have never used one so this is just hearsay.

I have also shot the Kahr PM9 and that definitely is a strong possibility for pocket carry.

A revolver with internal hammer so I/you can fire the gun if needed from inside a pocket, maybe a coat pocket.
Practice dry firing (safely) so you will be able to hit your target when the chips are down.
I feel comfortable with the .38 158 grain lead semi-wadcutter hollow point.
"Practice" is always your friend

David.......I carry the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm in a Blade-Tech inside the waist band Kydex holster. I installed the XS Express Tritium Big Dot night sights on the pistol. The 9mm Shield is comfortable to carry, doesn't print through a shirt, feeds reliably with all sorts of ammo and shoots accurately. I keep mine loaded with Hornady Critical Defense ammo. The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm is an excellent concealed carry personal defense weapon. I never leave home without it and pray I never need to use it.

Fortunately, I work in a "gun free zone". So I have nothing to worry about. I don't have to carry one of those scary looking things. The sign outside the building clearly states "Guns Prohibited". Ah, bliss.
