Hi Toga,

Can you read the %THD (distortion) on the PS520 ?
In the past I used a PS Audio PPP, but in the new apartment the THD is only around 1,2% and my equipment sounds better without the PPP, with the PPP all cd's sounds the same and the sounstage is suffering in my case.
Also the "shimmering" from instruments is suffering.(probably the PPP is not in the same league as the PS520)

Do you have a separate audio (power) group ?, this is where I made the largest improvement (at relative moderate cost). The system can play louder and I have now a soundstage behind, between, in front and beside the the V3's. And this is with my simple system I can't imagine what this would do with your system. (and then preferbly separate group for Digital, analogue and power amps)

But probably you already have the separate audio groups.

It is raining here in Netherlands, another day behind the stereo :-)

@Olaf, hi You may see my post on 15-10-2013, it showed line distortion, in and out. I have used other sine wave generator before too, the made in Thailand Clef Audio Puresine1000, 1000 watt output. But that is not even close to what PS520 does. I bought Puresine1000 mainly for my JVC projector, I just tried it in audio system for fun. it costed me $800 . For PS520 ,I hear a clear improvement over my RSA Maxim. the Maxim always sound balanced and relaxed, not bad at all, also Transparent PIR, but PS520 provide voltage stabilization which outputs constant 230V and that may be the reason that my system provide more drive now. I do have 2 dedicated AC lines for stereo system, each 230V 20A circuit. both run from breaker panel with Oyaide EEFS2.6 special in-wall cable. one circuit connected to Furutech GTX Gold plated, one to GTX Rhodium, this make me able to have two flavors. I use one circuit for power amp, the other for sources and preamp. I don't separate between analog and digital. Toga

Hi Toga,

Powersupply already in good order then, but still a difference with a mains "purifier". That's the thing with this hobby, everything matters, but doesn't always apply to our own systems.

enjoy,

Olaf

P.S. Last year I worked on a project offshore east of Songkhla, problably the gas supplied from that platform will give you the electricity to play your system. (small world, haha)

@Olaf,
Funny what is feeding PS520 now is from deep deep down the sea bed.
I know that in that oil rig near Songkla, there is a dedicated home theater for off duty workers too, probably not
Class A Accuphase, however. I fly over head that rig almost once a week Olaf.

Hi Toga,

Yes it has a massive TV, and a humble surround system, but I watched a few movies on it. Helps to forget you are offshore.

I have been there during commissioning/start-up.

PS520 is fed by Transparent MM2x with Furutech FI48.
The Anaconda Z to transport
Mm2X FI48 to Dac
Acoustic Revive Power Sensual 18000 to Ref 40

Tonight I will try feeding PS520 with Anaconda Zitron,
Or may be JPS Aluminata I also Have but unused.

Is it advisable to hook up e560 to PS-520 for further improvement?

Toga, is there a PurePower dealer here? When I contacted Norman, the SE Asia regional dealer, he said there were none. And of course, when I very respectfully asked about getting one here--even volunteering to help him find some possibilities--he ignored my email. How's that for customer service?

thanks,
ron

Ron, the one who sold you Acoustic Revive headphone cable used to be PP distributor.
But I saw he use Accuphase PS520 and Running Spring Audio Maxim in his personal listening room.
PP people discussed with me on email long ago. I asked him that will PP pollute the upstream electricity,
He replied as YES. As it is an inverter. A UPS, actually.
