Certainly no need to buy $3K Valhalla power cord.
Great advice, Cyril!

That "a tad bright" might drive you crazy over the long run...

Tom,
I agree with Cyril the Black Mamba are a notable step up from Diamondback, but if you are willing to experiment for your gear, try a Venom3. I personally find it more transparent, dynamic and punchier than Diamondback, and a bit richer sounding. While DB Platinum is excellent, I prefer Venom3. And at $95, is a smokin' good power cord! Multiple thumbs up from me.

Cyril, just as an FYI, the Black Mamba CX is currently priced $595 at 1.8 meters, the BM HC CX is $795. I know 'cause I have two of each!

Agree with Ritmo they are superb. Love 'em!

Stephen...thanks for the correction. The HC version is the High Current version to use with either a power conditioner (Hydra, V-Ray, or the new versions Triton and Talos) or with a power amp, correct?

On a more serious note, I'm pretty intrigued by the new Shunyata Triton and Talos; apparently represents a clean sheet of paper, ground up redesign of Shunyata's power distributors.

Nordost Valhalla cables are not bright. far from it, they are pure as crystal water.

If they are sounding bright, look elsewhere for the offending piece of equipment.

that said, most cables are basically tone controls, so pick which one you prefer.

I will never sell my Valhalla ic's. I wish I did not sell my pc's a few years ago. however I to blamed the valhalla's for something ary elsewhre in the system.
