Silver cable prices

With silver hitting 30 year record highs, do you think cables made with silver will go up in price?

Looking at the margins that the manufacturers have, the increases are well within what they can absorb. However, they may use the increase as excuse and pass it on to the consumers as usual..

I am sure that silver cables will continue to rise. Looking at the pricing of Analysis Plus Gold cables they are now $24k for a 10 foot speaker and $10k for 2m interconnects. Since AP's normal cables are all reasonably priced it is easy to see what the use of gold does to pricing. I was told that virtually all of their gold cables are purchased in Asia.

I was thinking of it as more of an opportunity for the component cost to grow into the product cost.

Good point. There are people in some places who are stripping down old household, pc, and audio wire just for that little bit of copper.

I bought a bunch of Silver Eagles 10+ years ago for $4 oz. Never did I think it would rise to where it is today.

Concerning silver cables and their great conductive properties and general higher cost then copper I have always been a bit confused about some of the cables in Kkimber's line up.

For example, Kimber has their standard line and then their Select line with the quality being better in the Select line. Now I get that the copper cables in the Select line are better than the standard copper line but there are silver cables in the standard line such as the KCAG, KCTG, Hero AG, 4AG and 8AG. One would think that these silver cables would be better than the copper Select cables and maybe even the silver/copper hybrid Select cables but the prices don't necessarily reflect that. If silver is so good what would it be about the copper Select series that makes them better than silver here? Just curious. Any thoughts or better yet are there people here who have personally used a number of these different cables and can comment.
