I'm thinking a box of 8 conductor telephone wire would be ideal for setting up any surround sound system. One telephone cable to handle the front speakers, and one telephone cable to handle all the rest of the side and rear speakers. Simple, and cheap, too. Sounds good to me.

Run them overhead on replica mini-poles too with missing kitty photos stapled onto them. That's be sweet & a conversation piece as well.

Maybe rig them with little motors and actuators so they fall over during action scenes to make it more realistic.
