A leaky capacitor dissolved a copper trace. The McIntosh tech replaced all the caps. He found one channel was weak and traced it to a bad transistor that had a fluctuating current across the collector. It was intermittent which made it difficult to isolate. He replaced a couple of transistors. I also got him to replace all the panel lamps, 18 in total I think and they all had to be soldered in. He adjust the bias and said I should get many years out of this moving forward.
